Entry #1: Escaping the Everyday
There isn’t much in my life that I do strictly for me. I work 40 hours a week, I work hard in school, and I have many social and familial responsibilities to take care of as well. Honestly, even a good majority of the media I consume is for the sake of being able to talk about it with my friends. So, what is it that I do solely for me? Socializing, sure, I do love spending time with and talking to others, but that isn’t much of a hobby, now is it? The next best option then is traveling. Although many of my trips have been to go see people who’ve moved away, or with a friend, I still make the intention of my trips to be that I go for the sake of me, to go have fun somewhere and escape my everyday life here in Arizona. In fact, I prefer to go on trips with friends, as it gives me the ability to fall back on someone else’s suggestions and opinions if I find myself not knowing what to do next.
